Issue #6
"The Community Halloween Issue"
To many of us creatures of the night, horror is part of our everyday lives, and Halloween is a holiday that has become deeply personal–weaving together our passions and cherished autumnal memories. It's so much more than just costumes and candy; it’s a time when we can express our true selves, whether through the intricate designs of our handmade costumes or the carefully curated decorations that fill our homes (in our case, a twelve-foot Big Bony Girl, Chappell Bones which towers over our little bungalow home). Every day feels like an invitation to embrace the thrill of the supernatural, to indulge in our love of ghost stories, and to gather with friends to see special theater screenings of our favorite horror movies.
In this community, horror celebrates the diversity of difference. Thus, the spirit of Halloween has served as a constant source of comfort and as a safe place for many of us to land. We all have a home in horror, and we are all responsible for making Halloween season one to remember, time and time again.
With that, I’m incredibly honored to present to you THE HALLOWEEN ISSUE! Night Terror Magazine is, at its core, a project rooted in community. We all have a story to share, and we are proud to share those stories, recommendations, works of art, tutorials, and more with you all on this perfect Halloween Day. This issue is our biggest yet and features some of horror’s most beloved contributors. So sit back, throw on those Halloween slippers I know you have, cozy up with your cauldron mugs, and come with us on a deep dive into this horror community we love so, so very much.
Oh, how I know these tales will keep you WAKING IN THE NIGHT!!
Happy Halloween, monsters!
